DHS Secretary Mayorkas considers excusing immigration fraud cases, letting them keep citizenship

Editor note: In 2020, we saw a nationwide push to “defund the police”.  While we all stood here shaking our heads wondering if these people were serious… they cut billions of dollars in funding for police officers.

And as a result, crime has skyrocketed – all while the same politicians who said “you don’t need guns, the government will protect you” continued their attacks on both our police officers and our Second Amendment rights.

And that’s exactly why we’re launching this national crowdfunding campaign as part of our efforts to help “re-fund the police”.

According to reports, a memo from Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is making the rounds internally that is floating the idea of helping immigrants retain their citizenship in even some instances where fraud was employed in obtaining said naturalized citizenship.

Washington Times reporter Stephen Dinan covered the memo reportedly coming from Secretary Mayorkas that has been making the rounds through Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Contained within Dinan’s reporting of the matter, the memo reportedly noted:

“Naturalized citizens deserve finality and security in their rights as citizens…Department policies should not cause a chilling effect or barriers for lawful permanent residents seeking to naturalize.”

Dinan further noted that the memo emphasized that DHS should limit denaturalization cases to “instances of national security threats, major felons such as sex crime convicts or human rights violators, or cases of fraud ‘with aggravating factors.’”

While this memo reportedly doesn’t outright ban the practice of denaturalization, it does reportedly impose some strict “criteria to weed out cases, including whether bogus citizens had attorneys at the time, whether they have family that relies on them or whether they have ‘medical issues.’”

Former President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice established a division in February of 2020 to yank naturalized citizenship status from immigrants who employed fraud in the process of obtaining citizenship.

Yet, according to the new DHS memo, a potentially large number of immigration fraudsters will never be submitted to DOJ prosecutors. In a sense, rewarding what is genuinely ill-gotten gains in the realm of citizenship.

Robert Law, with the Center for Immigration Studies, noted in a recent report that this DHS memo has the propensity to enact “such onerous restrictions that it has the practical effect of ending civil denaturalization”:

“Predictably, the memo cites as authority for the policy President Biden’s Executive Order 14012, ‘Restoring Faith in Our Legal Immigration Systems and Strengthening Integration and Inclusion Efforts for New Americans’.

As I have repeatedly pointed out, the EO fails to define “barriers” and instead this vague edict is used to justify impermissible policies that circumvent laws and eligibility criteria the Biden administration dislikes.

Apparently following the rules to naturalize is too much of a “barrier” in the eyes of the Biden political team. Immigration cheats…are surely cheering on Secretary Mayorkas to sign the memo.”

‘Excusing violence’: Rep. Mace reports FBI not tracking domestic terrorism by Antifa, Black Lives Matter

(Originally published October 18th, 2021)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The violent and destructive acts committed by members of Antifa and Black Lives Matter, especially during the “protests” of 2020, are undoubtedly still fresh in the minds of Americans, especially the many who became victims of crimes committed by those groups.

However, during questioning by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), the FBI made it clear that they are not classifying either group as a domestic terrorist organization and, as such, are not tracking crimes committed by them.

On September 29, 2021, during a House Oversight Hearing on counterterrorism, Mace asked Timothy Langan, recently appointed assistant director of the Counterterrorism Division at FBI Headquarters, about the FBI’s approach to Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

She said to Langan:

“You mentioned in the FBI and domestic terrorism there are these subcategories of domestic terrorism:  racial, anti-government, animal, environmental, abortion, and catch-all.  I think those are what I heard.

“Under the anti-government category, or subcategory, of domestic terrorism, would that include groups like Antifa or Black Lives Matter folks who commit violence or acts of domestic terrorism?”

Langan responded by apparently deflecting to the matter of individuals, not groups, saying:

“Well, we don’t identify groups by individuals’ actions, so if individuals are committing actions that would be in furtherance of anti-government or anarchist ideals, then they would fall into that category.”

Mace pressed him further, asking:

“So would you quantify Antifa as an anarchist group then, under that subcategory?  I mean, it’s an anarchist group, right, or related?”

Langan pointed once again to individuals, saying:

“There are individuals, I think the Director has previously described them, as a movement, and there have been individuals that have associated or identified with Antifa that have conducted violent acts that we would categorize as anarchist.”

Mace countered:

“How many acts of violence has Antifa committed over the last two years?”

Langan responded by indicating that the FBI calls Antifa a ‘movement’ and does not categorize it under the heading of domestic terrorism, saying:

“Since we don’t categorize Antifa, nor do we calculate or collate information regarding Antifa, that movement, we don’t have that.”

Rep. Mace unpacked this exchange during an exclusive interview with Breitbart’s Alex Marlow on the October 15 Sirius XM broadcast of Breitbart News Daily.

She told Marlow:

“It was shocking.  This is a member of the FBI. We had our sixth hearing on the Oversight Committee on white supremacy and domestic terrorism, and I’m not going to water down the threats that are out there with regards to that, but it was our sixth hearing on this.

“And so of course, I’m going to ask questions about Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

“And the look on my face when I hear the FBI telling me, telling all of America that they don’t track acts of violence by these violent groups, [it] is astounding.”

Mace continued:

“And further in that inquiry, the FBI then tell me that there are about 75 open cases of ‘anti-government-related’ categories, or ‘movements,’ whatever he wants to call it.  Half of them are militia, half being ‘other.’

“We’ve all seen the violence over the last two years across cities around the nation, literally Antifa and Black Lives Matter burning down street corners, destroying companies, destroying people’s livelihoods, pulling people out of  their cars and beating them in broad daylight, and we don’t track Antifa because — quote — it’s a movement.”

She added:

“We know [Antifa] is an organization.

“It  is a violent organization, and some may recall, this summer even at my own home, I had someone show up in the middle of the night, spray painted my house, where I live with my two kids as a single mom, with Antifa and anarchist symbolism and ugly, nasty things.

“And they’ve done far worse to this country.

“And we don’t track Antifa.”

Mace added that she was recently informed during a Veterans Affairs Committee hearing that acts of domestic terrorism committed by Antifa and other anarchist groups have increased by 25 percent.

She continued:

“So we do have a real issue on our hands, but we’re not addressing the problems, and the priority in which that problem is affecting all of us across the country.”

Referring to Attorney General Merrick Garland’s claim that parents across the nation, who have been calling school policies into question, are threats, she added:

“To see what our federal government is doing to parents in allowing… what school boards are doing, when parents just want to vent and say this is not ok, teaching these things to our kids [is] not okay.  We’re not the enemy.”

She went on to say:

“We have enemies within, but let’s track the people who are doing the violent acts and focus on those within the priorities in which they are committing those violent acts, and that’s not what we’re doing.

“We’re doing backwards.   It’s kind of like Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal, right?  They’re doing it backwards, focusing on the wrong people.”

Rep. Mace went on to discuss how there are clear efforts to “legitimize and excuse” the violent activities of Antifa and BLM.

She added that there continue to be attempts on social media to explain away the Antifa vandalism at her home, including claims that she herself made the graffiti.

She continued:

“The mental gymnastics that some of these people are going through to defend the violence in our country: ‘it’s ok because those individuals align with us politically’ —

“The far left has weaponized everything from impeachment to excusing violence in this country.”
