A couple of questions—why do Republicans support freedom-seeking Cubans while Democrats support Palestinian terrorists?
And why do Democrats shun Cubans fleeing oppression who are seeking asylum in the United States while embracing illegals pouring over the porous US-Mexico border? It’s a tale of two vastly different types of migrants.
Republicans have been steadfast in their support of Cuba’s freedom fighters. Democrats meanwhile defend Palestinian terrorists.

Numerous Republicans have issued public support for the Cuban people, including Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL). Other Republicans, such as former Vice President Mike Pence also came forward to show their support.
The Communist Cuban regime will be consigned to the dustbin of history. It has brutalized & denied freedom to generations of Cubans, and forced my family & so many others to flee.

Tens of thousands of people in #Cuba are protesting at this very moment.
The regime is shutting off the internet on the island. The Castro dictatorship doesn’t want the world to see what’s happening.

Protests in #Cuba aren’t simply about “shortages”

Florida supports the people of Cuba as they take to the streets against the tyrannical regime in Havana. After decades of suffering through a communist dictatorship, the Cuban people deserve liberty.

Meanwhile, Democrats are refusing to speak out as to the true reasons for the protests in the island nation, with White House propaganda minister Jen Psaki claiming it had something to do with “economic mismanagement” and the coronavirus.

Many of the comments of “support” from Democrats offered only half-hearted support, omitting mentions of communist strongmen such as Castro and Che Guevera who have run roughshod over the Cuban people.
In his statement on the events, Joe Biden referred to Cuba’s regime as “authoritarian,” conveniently leaving out the words socialist or communist, a point not lost on Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL).

Moreover, some Democrats’ words have come back to haunt them, in particular Crazy Bernie Sanders, who has been an unabashed cheerleader of the Castro regime and who has praised him throughout his career.
— 60 Minutes (@60Minutes) February 24, 2020
In 2016, Barack Obama posed in front of a mural of the murderous Guevera and upon Castro’s death, said that “history will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and world around him,” and finished by offering “thoughts and prayers [are with] the Cuban people.”
Democrats meanwhile draw praise from such luminaries as the Muslim Brotherhood, who praised a group of Democratic lawmakers for basically abandoning our greatest ally in the Middle East and embracing the jihad.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, the Muslim Brotherhood’s official propaganda site praised Democrats who they said had “demand[ed] the protection of Palestinians from Zionist attacks,” according to a headline in Ikhwan Online.
The jihadist extremist group specifically highlighted remarks made by Democrats Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN), Rashida Tlaib (MI), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) Andre Carson (IN), Debbie Dingell (MI) Mark Pocan (WI) and Cori Bush (MO), as well as crazy Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
Here are statements issued by Democrats in support of Palestinian terrorists when tensions arose between they and Israel in May:
Ilhan Omar: “Israel airstrikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism, “she said, ignoring Hamas’s repeated strikes. “Palestinians deserve protection. Unlike Israel, missile defense programs, such as Iron Dome, don’t exist to protect Palestinian civilians. It’s unconscionable to not condemn these attacks”…
Rashida Tlaib: “American taxpayer money is being used to commit human rights violations. Congress must condition the aid we send to Israel and end it altogether if those conditions are not followed.”
The bartender Ocasio-Cortez also joined in the fun, blasting Israel for “inciting violence.”
Tlaib, who competes with Omar in the competition for the vilest human being (and there’s a lot of competition) also slammed Joe Biden and feckless Secretary of State Antony Blinken, both of whom said Israel has the right to defend itself against terrorists, noting both could be “having trouble finding the courage to speak up against Israel’s actions and stop supporting this inhumane voice,” Tlaib tweeted.
“No mention of the al-Aqsa raid. No mention of the 13 innocent children killed in airstrikes,” Omar tweeted after a White House statement was issued on the situation. “No mention of the ongoing occupation of millions in an open-air prison. You aren’t prioritizing human rights. You’re siding with an oppressive occupation.”
So let’s remember this…Republican’s support freedom fighters in Cuba, Democrats support Palestinian terrorists.

That leads to the next question. Why do Democrats support illegals crossing the US-Mexico border yet seem opposed to Cubans escaping communist oppression?
After the Biden administration basically posted a welcome sign at the southern US border inviting tens of thousands of illegal aliens into the country, the exact opposite has occurred with the current strife in Cuba.
While many conservatives have identified what they believe is the true reason for Democrats going soft on illegal immigration via Mexico (Democrat votes), the exact opposite seems to be true where it concerns Cuba.
A number of prominent conservatives believe the only reason Democrats have been soft on the southern border being overrun by Hispanics is because that demographic tends to vote Democrat.
As conservative Mark Levin has said, if Democrats thought these were people inclined to vote Republican inundating the border, they’d build a 40-foot wall to keep them out. That belief would appear to be accurate.
Take how the Biden administration has said they would deal with potential Cuban refugees, seeking to flee the communist dictatorship.
Last week, according to the Daily Mail, a senior White House official told Reuters that the U.S. government is prepared for a possible mass influx of Cubans fleeing the island. That official warned the administration would have a “robust presence” in the Florida Straits between Cuba and Florida in order to intercept Cuban migrants fleeing that oppressive regime.
According to the United States Coast Guard, some 536 Cubans have been stopped in the middle of the Caribbean Sea since October 1, 2020, and returned.
In January 2017, just prior to the end of his presidency, former president Barack Obama signed an executive order to end the so-called “wet foot, dry foot” policy which granted permanent residency to Cubans after they reached the U.S. Currently, they are permitted to apply for residence one year after they enter the U.S. legally.
That policy is in complete opposition to what the Biden administration is doing at the southern U.S. border, where record numbers of illegals from Central America and Mexico are attempting to cross the border into the U.S., with many successfully doing so.
If those illegals claim asylum and have family in the U.S., they can be reunited with them while their immigration cases go through the process.
Residents of Cuba have been protesting in the streets since last weekend, complaining about the lack of food, limits on civil liberties and alleged mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This past Monday, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, who has welcomed migrants at the southern US border with open arms, took the opposite tone with potential migrants from Cuba.
“If you take to the sea, you will not come to the United States.”
Contrast Mayorkas’ statement this week with statements he made about migrants attempting to reach the southern US border.
“It’s a very important humanitarian message. It is a longstanding message from the United States. And the reality of it is that when people take to the sea, they put their lives in tremendous period. Just in the last few weeks, we have seen approximately 20 people lose their lives by taking to the sea. It is extraordinarily dangerous. It is not worth the risk.”
So, according to Mayorkas, 20 people have lost their lives trying to cross from Cuba.
So, how many have lost their lives trying to reach the southern border of the US? According to the El Paso Times, those attempting to reach the US through Mexico face a tortuous trip, a fact that was highlighted by El Paso Border Patrol Sector Chief Gloria I. Chavez.
“Transnational criminal organizations continue to recklessly disregard the lives of the migrants they smuggle into the country,” Chavez said. The news conference took place at about 1:00 p.m. where the temperature was close to 100 degrees.
“The most pressing danger of crossing the border illegally in this desert region is the extreme summer heat,” Chavez said. “In West Texas and southern New Mexico, we have already experienced at least 10 days of triple-digit heat.”
Chavez said there have been about 17 migrant deaths this fiscal years. That doesn’t include those who die making the trip.
Mayorkas, who warned Cubans not to come to America, portrays a totally different tone when dealing with potential Democrat voters.
Despite claiming the “border is closed,” Department of Homeland Security policies are anything but.
Since February, 61,312 illegal aliens have been released into the interior United States by Customs and Border Protection with either a Notice to Appear at an immigration hearing, or receive what is called an I-385, which fast tracks illegals out of custody with a notice to report to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office, Fox News said.
So why, you may ask, do Democrats hold Hispanics entering the southern US border differently than Cubans? It’s all about the votes.
According to Pew Research, in the 2020 presidential election, while former President Trump gained ground with Hispanic voters, Biden took 59% of the Hispanic vote to Trump’s 38%, as reported in The Federalist.
Cubans? Once again according to Pew Research, a majority of Cuban registered voters—58%–affiliate or lean toward the Republican Party, while only 38% identify as Democratic.
Why would the Democrats, who have zero problem with our border being overrun by Hispanics from Mexico and Central America appear to generally have an issue with Cubans trying to escape communism and stifling oppression in that country? It’s all about the votes, as it always is for Democrats.
Since Biden took office and Democrats gained the majority in both houses of Congress, everything Democrats have done has been to secure their power.
For Democrats it’s never what is best for the American people. It’s what is best for Democrats.
