BURLESON, Texas – Lisa Harper-Lerner is proud to offer her debut work, Crossing the Thin Blue Line, released December 15, 2017.
Our world is filled with hurting people. Lisa Harper-Lerner was one of them until her encounter with Jesus Christ. Read how Lisa came from walking with roughneck bikers to serving law enforcement officers, and eventually marrying a career cop. You will learn the message of hope, love, and peace, but don’t be deceived, there’s no fluff here. It’s not for the faint of heart! This is a true story of an overcomer in Christ, and Lisa doesn’t hold anything back.
Chaplain Lisa Lerner is an ordained minister and has served in law enforcement ministry with her husband, Chuck since 1990. Lisa served as chaplain with the Grandview, Texas Police Department as the agency’s first police chaplain. She currently serves Burleson, Texas Police Department.
Lerner continued her education and obtained her Biblical Counseling Certification in 2014. She pursued studies in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and serves as chaplain for the Johnson County CISM Team.

Editor’s note: Lisa Lerner has teamed up with LET contributors Melinda Merritt and Allison Uribe, among others, at Bless the Badge Conferences. I (Jim McNeff) have attended the seminar as a vendor selling books, and wholeheartedly endorse their work. They cumulatively have the ability to minister to the needs of LEOWs with compassion and care.
