Congrats, America. You all were duped by Black Lives Matter. “Our goal is to get Trump out.” (Editorial)

WASHINGTON D.C. – Make no mistake about it…Black Lives Matter, the organization is more about political power than anything else.

Fighting racism is secondary to their primary mission…fundamentally changing the United States of America.

One of the co-founders of the group, Patrisse Cullors said as much on Friday in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, according to The Epoch Times.

“Our goal is to get Trump out.”

Not happy with beating the president at the ballot box, Cullors said she wants Trump out of office now.

“Trump not only needs to not be in office in November, but he should resign now. Trump needs to be out of office. He is not fit for office,” Cullors said.

Tapper asked Cullors, a self-identified Marxist to speak to the current cultural shift occurring in the United States in the wake of the death of George Floyd.

“We absolutely are in a cultural shift, and it’s not just hearts and attitudes changing,” Cullors said.

“We’re also seeing entire police departments transforming, we’re seeing city councils, county body supervisors, governors, the national government, try to have a much more difficult and promising conversation about re-imagining public safety,” she said.

“Re-imagining public safety.”

Black Lives Matter is front and center in the move to not only “defund the police” but “eliminate the police.” Their charter asks for the mass release of all inmates currently being held in prison with very few exceptions.

Remember the riots after the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri?

“What do we want? Dead cops! When do we want it? Now!”

Those chants were led by those not only sympathetic to Black Lives Matters, but the leaders as well.

Attorney General Bill Barr has been moving forward on criminal justice reform for a few years, however he rejects the claim that law enforcement is systemically racist.

“Since the 1960’s, I think we’ve been in a phase of reforming our institutions and making sure that they’re in sync with our laws and aren’t fighting a rearguard action to impose inequities,” the attorney general said on “Face the Nation” on June 7.

Barr continued, “I think there’s racism in the United States still, but I don’t think that the law enforcement system is systemically racist.”

He also said that he believed it’s “undeniable that progress is being made” in regard to reforming various institutions across the country, adding:

“We have a generation of police leaders in tis country, many of whom are now African American, in our major cities, who are firmly committed to equal justice and to fair policing.”

Barr acknowledged the distrust that African Americans have due to “the history in this country,” however said that the Trump administration is expanding efforts to further reform law enforcement, as evidenced by President Trump’s executive order signed on Tuesday addressing law enforcement reform.

The policy includes measures that encourage enhanced police training where it concerns de-escalation techniques and provided stronger guidelines and restrictions for the use of chokeholds as a restraining technique.

After Floyd’s death last month, protests…some peaceful, most not broke out across the country. Major cities saw widespread looting and rioting, and hundreds of police officers and civilians were injured or killed in the mayhem.

While the peaceful protests have called attention to criminal justice reform and other issues affecting people of color, there are those who believe that there is much more driving these protests than anger over the death of a black man at the hands of police.

For example, former FBI Counterterrorism Director Terry Turchie compared Black Lives Matter to the Black Panther Party back in the 1960’s. In an interview with Sky News Australia, Turchie said that Black Lives Matter, just like the Black Panther Party have similar “Marxist-Maoist-Leninist” roots with a goal of “total transformation—very important two words there—the total transformation of the United States government and America.”

For her part, Cullors admitted in an interview that was recently discovered and which had been shared on social media of the group Black Lives Matter that, “we actually do have an ideological frame,” while adding that she and others at the organizer level are “trained Marxists.”

“Just the News” reported that the group’s website “deals heavily in language and rhetoric steeped in left-wing ideology.”

BLM’s website says that it is dedicated to “issues concerning racial injustice, police brutality, criminal justice reform, Black immigration, economic injustice, LGBTQIA+ (not sure where the IA+ came from), and human rights, environmental injustice, access to healthcare, access to quality education, and voting rights and suppression.”

Hit all the left-wing buttons in that statement.

The interview, conducted in 2015 by Morgan State University Professor Jared Ball, had Ball ask Cullors about some criticism of the group, which alleged “a lack of perhaps ideological direction in Black Lives Matter that would allow it to be, to fizzle out.”

Cullors answered, “Myself and Alicia [Garza] in particular are trained organizers. We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories,” she said, while noting that many of BLM’s founders had been seeking to “build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folk.”

The video was released as the movement has been raking in cash from companies and individuals who are trying to avoid being called “racist” for not going with the cause while not understanding exactly where or to whom their money is going.

Remember back when then-candidate Barack Obama said we were only “five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America?” It looks like we are there.
