For someone who loves to ride on the moral high-horse, Don Lemon and his recent panel hardly proved to be the epitome of morality on a recent CNN clip. A clip making the rounds online showed Lemon uncontrollably laughing while a guest referred to Trump supporters as “credulous boomer rubes”. Certainly, this won’t blow back in their face like the infamous “basket of deplorables” comment made famous by Clinton – or will it?

The clip was pulled from a segment that aired this past Saturday night on CNN, which was aimed at covering the current status of Trump’s impeachment trial. Lemon hosted New York Times columnist and CNN contributor Wajahat Ali and ex-GOP strategist Rick Wilson to gather their thoughts on the impeachment. What instead played out was more of an opportunity to take jabs at the voter base behind President Trump. The panel were observing the recent remarks made by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo toward a journalist, when Pompeo asked if the NPR journalist could even point out Ukraine on a map.

Wilson then used the platform to imply that Trump and his supporters are nothing short of inept:

“[Pompeo] also knows deep within his heart that Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter U and a picture of an actual physical crane next to it. He knows that this is, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world. And so that’s partly him playing to the base and playing to their audience. You know, the credulous boomer rube demo that backs Donald Trump.”

Lemon, who acts as though he’s the bastion of what a moral person is, began laughing so hard that tears were rolling. With Wilson seeing the reaction of Lemon, he doubled down and employed a pseudo-southern accent while mocking Trump supporters:

“‘Donald Trump’s the smart one — and y’all elitists are dumb!’

Ali decided that he would join in on the antics, when he chimed in with the following:

“‘You elitists with your geography and your maps – and your spelling!'”

While still utilizing the accent often attributed to blue-collar states and workers, Wilson added yet another jab:

“‘Your math and your reading! All those lines on the map!'”

The host of the show apparently found this rhetoric to be appropriate, thanking his guests for the induced laughter:

“That was good. That was a good one. I needed that.”

Former CNN digital producer Steve Krakauer posted the clip online to Twitter, with the following caption:

“The arrogance, the dismissiveness, the smug cackling, the accents. If Donald Trump wins re-election this year, I’ll remember this brief CNN segment late one Saturday night in January as the perfect encapsulation for why it happened.”

Krakauer isn’t too far fetched either in his opining, as many point to the “basket of deplorables” comment Hillary made on the campaign trail of 2016 as the moment her electability ended. Even President Trump was lending his two-cents on the segment, describing Lemon as “the dumbest man on television.”

President Trump’s daughter Ivanka also pointed out hypocrisy that perpetuates the CNN newsrooms:

“You consistently make fun of half the country and then complain that it is divided. The arrogance, mocking accents and smug ridicule of this nation’s ‘Real Elites’ is disgusting.”

Tim Murtaugh, who functions as the Trump campaign communications director, stated the following online as well:

“This is a real segment from an actual program on a cable news network that asks to be taken seriously. Not subtle message to huge parts of America: THEY HATE YOU.”

In addition to admins condemning the behavior, a ton of police officers, first responders and veterans who support the president called the panelists out on social media.

The amount of online backlash was enormous, and with good reason. Now, one of the panel participants who mocked half of the country, is acting like he is being bullied online. Ali had been getting some not-so-well-received feedback on Twitter about how he decided to portray Trump supporters. Now, he’s claiming that people are “concerned” for his safety. I highly doubt that people being irritated by juvenile mocking is a credible threat.

The post that Ali placed on Twitter on January 28th stated the following:

“Trump tweeted our CNN clip from 2 days ago. Friends are now concerned about my safety. I refuse to be intimidated & bullied by bad faith actors who cry fake victimhood, whining about a harmless, silly 30 second clip while endorsing Trump, a cruel vulgarian who debases everyone.”

You can’t make this kind of stuff up. One of the three individuals who went on national television to mock roughly half the country is saying he refuses to be “bullied” – because people are now either making fun of him or saying he completely lacked decorum and tact. I think this is an example of a “taste of one’s own medicine” and it’s strangely satisfying to see it play out in real time.

Meanwhile, a bombshell report from Project Veritas just showed Kyle Jurek, a Sanders staffer from Iowa, saying that labor camps were beneficial for the Soviet Union and further suggesting that they could be used to re-educate both Trump supporters and billionaires.

Sorry, media. Peaceful 2A rally in Virginia proves gun owners aren't the enemy

This week, another staffer of Sanders’ from South Carolina, identified as Martin Weissgerber, was captured on hidden camera footage as well.

Weissgerber said, “I’m already on Twitter, following numerous groups around the country that are ready to organize yellow-vest protests. I mean, I’m ready. I’m ready to start tearing bricks up and start fighting. I’m no cap bro, I’ll straight up get armed. I want to learn how to shoot and go train. I’m ready for the revolution, bro.”

“I’m telling you. Guillotine the rich.” This folks, is why the Second Amendment is so important.

This clown will never be confused with a rocket scientist.

CNN panelists mock Trump supporters on national television. Cops and veterans are pissed.

“I’m ready for the revolution”

In the video, Weissgerber wonders aloud about whether or not Sanders should take over the legislative and judicial branches’ decision-making abilities on the issue of climate change.

“Do we just cease—do we just dissolve the Senate, House of Representatives, the judicial branch, and have someone like Bernie Sanders and a cabinet of people make all the decision on climate? I mean, I’m serious,” he says.

Let’s move on. In another part of the video, Weissgerber in his best Adolf Hitler/Joseph Goebbels voice, suggested imprisoning Republicans in re-education camps in order to help the country.

“What will help us is when we send all the Republicans to the re-education camps,” he said. “Can you imagine Mitch McConnell? Lindsey Graham?”

The video cuts for a bit, then Weissgerber continues with an uninformed description of the old Soviet forced labor camps:

“The gulags were founded as re-education camps. People came from America to work on the Belomorkanal, the Soviet project, for the communist project,” he said. “It was a beautiful thing.”

Ah yes, the poster child for the success of the American education system. Daddy and mommy must be very, very proud.

During the video, Project Veritas shows a graphic which showed that over 25,000 laborers died at the Belomorkanal, according to Soviet documents. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s The Gulag Archipelago placed the number much higher, up to 250,000.

Still, Weissgerber apparently thinks the Soviet Union is the best thing since sliced bread.

“I only learned this s–t in college [shocker there] when I started studying the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union was not horrible…I mean for women’s rights the Soviet Union—I think—the most progressive place to date in the world.”

From the Project Veritas drop last week, Jurek said, “In Nazi Germany, after the fall of the Nazi Party, there was a s–t-ton of the populace that was f–king Nazified,” he said. “Germany had to spend billions of dollars re-educating their f–king people to not be Nazis.”

Sanders campaign: “Cops are going to be the ones f’ing beaten” at DNC campaign

He further explained, “We’re probably going to have to do the same f–king thing here. That’s kind of what all Bernie’s whole f–king like, ‘hey, free education for everybody’ because we’re going to have to teach you to not be a f–king Nazi.”

[The] greatest way to break a f–king billionaire of their privilege and their idea that they’re superior, go and break rocks for 12 hours a day. You’re now a working class person, and you’re going to f–king learn what that means, right?” he added.

This bozo is a stone-cold genius.

Jurek calls himself “an Anarcho-communist. I’m as far left as you can possibly get. In fact, there are, that I know of, one, two, three, four of the organizers in this office are leftists, Justin, me, Derek, Daniele, Jessica are all definitely further left than the Democratic socialists. If you can’t handle me at my most communist, you don’t deserve me at my most anarchist,” he said “There’s a lot of me in the @BernieSanders campaign.”

Let’s analyze this. We are not saying that EVERY Sanders supporter has this kind of warped thinking, but one has to wonder if Project Veritas was able to find two lunatics like these without shaking the trees too much, how many of these nuts are out there? And how did they become members of the Sanders campaign? Who is vetting these people?
