Claire Davis, the student shot by the Arapahoe High School active shooter on December 13 has died. Despite the best efforts of the physicians and nurses from Littleton’s Adventist Hospital, she passed away Saturday with her family by her side.
A fellow student ended her life because he was disgruntled following his suspension from the Arapahoe High School’s Debate Team. Claire was seated in the hallway and had no time to run for cover. County Sheriff Grayson Robinson commended the brave actions of the deputy who was assigned as the school resource officer which prevented further deaths.
Claire loved horses, was an excellent student, and served as her neighborhood’s favorite babysitter. Her friend August Clary commented, “Claire wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
