Biden gun speech filled with slurred words, says if you want to take the country you need F-15s and nukes

WASHINGTON, DC- With crime out of control in primarily Democrat-controlled cities, the political class in the country is looking to find out how to deal with it. And like the good Marxists they are, they are blaming law-abiding gun owners and inanimate objects (guns) instead of criminal thugs and their own failed policies.

In a joke of a press briefing on Wednesday, Joe Biden, the current occupant of the White House engaged in a mind boggling, confusing, disjointed diatribe in which he proved without a doubt that not only is the teleprompter not working correctly (or perhaps the synapses in his brain aren’t connecting), but he also doesn’t possess a cogent thought.

Where to begin. Let’s start with Biden’s interpretation of the Second Amendment and what the Founding Fathers had in mind when it was written. Here’s what Biden said:

“The Second Amendment from the day it was passed limited the type of people who own a gun and what type of weapon you could own,” he mumbled. “You couldn’t buy a cannon.”

Actually there was no restriction on the types of guns could be bought. As far as a cannon, there doesn’t seem to be a current push among gun owners for cannons, LAWS rockets or Stinger missiles.

It was Biden’s next incoherent babble however that drew a lot of attention. We’ve attempted to interpret specifically what he said because the statement was generally pretty incoherent, except for the end:

“Those who say the blood of patriots and all that stuff about how we’re going to move against the government…well the tree of liberty is not watered with the blood of patriots…if you think you need have (sic) weapons to take on the government you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons.”

Now, you could maybe take Biden literally, or maybe not but in that statement, Biden actually proved exactly why we have the Second Amendment in the first place.

Despite his rambling attempt at a joke about deer and Kevlar vests (a lame attempt at “humor” that Biden has tried several times), nowhere in the Second Amendment is a word about hunting mentioned. For his edification, here is what the Second Amendment says:

“A well-regulated Militia, being necessary for the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.”

That’s it. No hunting…no cannons…no scary looking black guns…nothing.

The Second Amendment, by most interpretations, was intended specifically to prevent a government from using a standing army to disarm the citizenry. While many leftist loons say the word “militia” means the military or an “official” militia, when the Constitution was written the militia meant ordinary citizens.

Biden’s claim that “There has always been the ability to rationally limit the type of weapon that can be owned and who can own it” is simply and absolutely not grounded in truth.

Biden has previously made the claim that “no amendment is absolute,” focusing on of course the Second Amendment, but if that is in fact true, are the amendments allowing women the right to vote, or in fact the amendment outlawing slavery therefore subject to not being “absolute?”

Another claim made by leftists is that the framers of the Constitution “couldn’t have conceived” of weapons such as the AR-15, an argument that American Thinker says is absurd.

They outlined five weapon types from that era that had the basic technology, and which laid the foundation for modern firearms today, including semi-automatic rifles like the AR-15. The outlet said each of these technologies was conceived and in fact used prior to the ratification of the Second Amendment in 1791.

So let’s go back to Biden’s comment that implied if liberty-loving Americans were thinking about taking on the government, they’d need nuclear weapons and F-15s. This is of course not the first time Biden or other Democrats have made this pronouncement.

Going back to February 2020, Biden was at a campaign event in New Hampshire where he made the following comment:

“Those who say the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots, great line. The fact is, if you’re going to take on the government you need an F-15 with Hellcat (that’s Hellfire you dope) missiles! There’s no way an AK-47 is going to take care of you if you’re going to take on, er if you’re worried the government is going to come down knocking down your door.”

Of course, just like now, back then Biden’s handlers couldn’t get his talking points correctly. The actual words from Thomas Jefferson said, “The tree of liberty must be watered from time to time with the blood of tyrants,” not patriots you ignorant buffoon.

In November 2018, California Rep. Eric Swalwell, in the midst of a doomed presidential campaign and while taking time off from sleeping with Chinese spies, suggested launching nuclear weapons against gun-owners who would refuse to hand over or sell semi-automatic rifles to the government.

Let’s examine this Biden statement a little bit more. We have been led to believe that a group of a few hundred people, unarmed by the way, were within mere minutes or perhaps seconds of overthrowing the government through some sort of “insurrection” on January 6. So what’s changed?

Biden in fact was one of the head fear-mongers who has been claiming that “Democracy was threatened on January 6!” Now all of a sudden, old sleepy Joe isn’t so worried about no lousy insurrection. “We’ve got F-15s and nukes!” he threatens.

Biden continued his sleepy disjointed comments:

“For folks at home [guarantee nobody was watching Joe], I’ve been at this for a long time [we know], and there are things we know that work and reduce gun violence, and things that we don’t know about.” [clearly]

He then went on to list all the leftist talking points, talking about background checks (already done), a “ban on ‘assault weapons’ [aka scary-looking black guns] and ‘high capacity’ magazines.”

He continued his rambling:

“No one needs to have a weapon that can fire 30, 40, 50, even up to 100 rounds, unless you think the deer are wearing Kevlar vests or something.”

Ha ha…ha ha ha…what a clown.

No Joe, deer do not wear Kevlar vests. That wasn’t funny yesterday, and it wasn’t funny the last two-dozen times you’ve said it. That of course assumes that semi-automatic rifles are only purchased for hunting, which they are not.

You know who DOES wear Kevlar vests Joe? Criminals. You know, your voters who have been rioting in cities like Portland, Seattle, Chicago and New York. They DO wear Kevlar vests.

Biden of course uses the hunting analogy like that is what the Second Amendment is designed to protect. Anyone with half a brain (Sorry, Joe) knows that the Second Amendment is designed for self-defense. That fact was confirmed in 2013 by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, who noted that “individual self-defense is ‘the central component’ of the 2nd Amendment right.”

One would think that Biden, a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law might have a bit of knowledge about Constitutional law, but that clearly is not the case. Of course, as reported in 2019, Biden had to withdraw from the 1988 presidential race after it was found he had plagiarized a paper in law school, as reported by the Washington Post.

Biden had also claimed he graduated in the “top half” of his class, when he actually had graduated 76 out of 85. That explains a lot.

Biden can make the claim that “nobody needs 30, 40, 50, 100 rounds” all he wants, but in Biden’s America, where crime is out of control, illegals are being admitted into the country (including MS-13 gang members) in record numbers, criminals are being released from jail also at record numbers, and police are under attack both physically and financially, the American people need all the rounds they can get.

Taking gun advice from someone who most days seems unaware of his surroundings and who can’t put a cogent sentence together is not in the best interests of our country.

Law Enforcement Today has previously reported that Biden and the Democrats have done more for gun sales in the country than any terrorist attack could. With that in mind, we invite you to read some of our previous reporting on the issue:

Law Enforcement Today has continuously reported on the record high gun sales and background checks month after month in the United States.

Prior to Biden’s inauguration, the purchase of firearms skyrocketed, with many fearing the Democratic President would follow through on his promise of tearing apart the Second Amendment.

While January broke the record for the most background checks for firearm purchases, March has now surpassed that with nearly 4.7 million background checks taking place, according to newly released FBI data

February 2021 saw approximately 3.44 million background checks, which means that March has seen a 36% increase from that. Additionally, in March of 2020, almost one-million less background checks took place in comparison to March of 2021.

While the number of background checks does not necessarily result in the purchase of firearms, there has been a strong correlation between the two since the FBI began keeping records in November 1998.

Of the top 10 days for most background checks, six were in March 2021, according to FBI data, including the top three days.

Following deadly mass shootings in Atlanta and Boulder, Colorado, gun sales soared and five of the top days occurred following either one or both shootings, U.S. News reported.

The FBI’s data shows that Illinois had the most background checks conducted in the month of March, with more than 1.4 million. The state that had that second most background checks was Kentucky, which saw 330,476 checks.

There may be many contributing factors to the increase in background checks and firearm purchases. With riots ramping up again, many may be taking precautionary steps to protect themselves after the chaos that took place across the country last summer.

Additionally, the increase in the number of mass shootings taking place lately, coupled with the fact that on March 11th, the House Democrats passed a pair of gun-control bills that would expand background check requirements on all gun sales and transfers, may also be contributing factors.

It will be interesting to see what April’s numbers look like as we near the summer.

Arizona gun sales skyrocket in 2020, background checks hit record high – and there’s no sign of it slowing down

January 6, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Background checks for gun purchases in Arizona reached their highest levels ever before during 2020. Experts said that these high numbers were driven by an unprecedented convergence of a pandemic, a summer of national unrest, and a presidential election.

According to FBI data, through the end of November 2020, 610,911 background checks had been performed in Arizona, compared to the 372,912 background checks done in 2019.

Kelly Drane, research director at Giffords Law Center, a gun control advocacy group, said that Arizona’s spike is part of a nationwide increase. She has estimated that there was nearly a 90 percent increase in gun sales nationally from March to October 2020.

She said that early data has indicated that a “substantial number of these purchases were made by new gun owners.” Verrachart Murphy, owner of Ammo AZ, a Phoenix gun store, said that there has been a “huge uptick in first-time buyers.” He said:

“Between the election and COVID and shutdowns and riots, it was enough to get them off the couch and come in and actually make their first purchase. People that were kind of maybe on the fence about buying a gun.”

Murphy said that his biggest spike in sales came earlier in 2020 as COVID-19 began dominating the news. His store had a 400 percent increase in sales from January 2020 to February 2020. He attributed it to anxiety about a possible pandemic-related lockdown.

He said that sales remained relatively high and then there was another spike in sales over the summer when clashes between police officers and protesters were in the news headlines.

What Murphy said tracks with the FBI data, showing that Arizona had the highest number of background checks in March, with nearly 83,000, followed by June and July, each with 74,000 and 60,000 background checks.

Since getting into the gun business back in 2013, Murphy said he has seen similar spikes usually after active-shooter incidents or mass shootings. He said that before the 2016 presidential election sales jumped in anticipation of a win by Democrat Hilary Clinton.
Reportedly, sales then tapered off once gun-friendly President Donald Trump took office.

Sales through November 2020 were already 47 percent higher than in all of 2015, which had been the record for Arizona. Murphy said:

“It’s almost like the stock market, where something doesn’t actually have to happen to set off this market. It’s the threat of something or the potential that something happens that will trigger this market.”

If Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden takes the office on January 20th, Murphy said he expects gun sales to stay high and he expects to double last year’s net sales. He said:

“I think this is going to be for the foreseeable future with Biden in office. We saw kind of the same thing with Obama in office.”

Murphy posted a then-President Barack Obama’s picture in his store as “Employee of the Month,” saying:

“That should give you kind of an idea of, of how everybody reacts to a Democratic controlled presidency.”

Murphy said people are “buying everything.” He said:

“It doesn’t matter, whatever you can get your hands on. People are literally buying everything, handguns, rifles, shotguns. Everything is going.”

Murphy called it a “hoarding mentality” and compared it to stocking up on toilet paper and hand sanitizer at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Drane reiterated that guns are not toilet paper.

Drane said that increased gun sales have coincided with increased gun violence in U.S. cities and more calls to domestic violence and suicide hotlines. She said that such correlations are well known from previous research, but may be more dangerous during the pandemic. She said:

“The risks posed by these new firearm purchases may be particularly severe when coupled with the risks for gun violence exacerbated by the pandemic, such as economic uncertainty, unemployment, and social isolation.”

She added:

“These conditions have historically been associated with increased suicide attempts and deaths.”

Murphy said the gun-buying he has seen has been a nonpartisan exercise with liberals in his store for the first time. He also said that his neighbor in Scottsdale who he called an “uber-liberal huge Biden supporter,” bought his first gun after the unrest there during the summer.

Drane said:

“The bottom line is if you do decide to purchase a gun, we encourage you to learn about and practice safe gun storage, which is a foundational part of being a responsible gun owner.”
