WASHINGTON, D.C.- According to a report from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), President Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better Act” (H.R. 5376) would grant temporary amnesty to an estimated 6.5 million non-U.S. nationals, many of whom are currently in the country illegally.
The Biden Administration wants to give amnesty to 6.5 MILLION illegal immigrants.
And the border crisis is still out of control.https://t.co/EG2cVv7Wwy— Senate Republicans (@NRSC) November 30, 2021
The proposal would be the largest-ever amnesty, double the size of the one that went through during the Reagan administration in 1986. Amnesty refers to being pardoned; in this case for the federal offense of illegally entering the country between ports of entry and residing in the U.S. without permission.
In its review of H.R. 5376, the CBO stated:
“Many of those parolees would subsequently receive lawful permanent resident (LPR) status. A few million other people, most of whom are already in the United States, would gain LPR status through the provisions … or as immediate relatives of those who gain LPR status under the bill.”
Reportedly, the CBO estimated about 2 million non-U.S. citizens who ordinarily would not receive LPR status under current law would be granted the status if Biden’s bill were to be enacted.
All parolees and lawful permanent residents are eligible for a number of federal benefits programs, including subsidies for health insurance under Obamacare, Medicaid, the earned income and child tax credits, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Social Security, and Medicare.
They will receive welfare, social security, etc and haven't paid a dime into the system to support it and people wonder why it is failing.

H.R. 5376 passed the House on November 19th and now Democrats face an uphill battle to get it passed int the Senate so that President Biden can sign the bill and turn it into law. Dan Stein, president of the Federation of American Immigration Reform (FAIR), said:
“All eyes are now on the Senate to strip these provisions from the bill as it makes its way to the other side of the Hill.”
The Senate parliamentarian, who officially advises the legislative body on its rules, already rejected two attempts made by Democrats to use the reconciliation process to grant millions of illegal residents and non-U.S. citizens amnesty.
The CBO noted that while amnesty under the Build Back Better Act would raise federal revenues initially, it wold also greatly increase the county’s deficit in the long run. Stein said in a statement:
“In the short-term, the immigration provisions of the bill would result in even more illegal immigration and cost burdens on American taxpayers. In the long-term, as the people gaining amnesty become eligible for the full panoply of public benefits, the price tag will balloon above a trillion.”
In a November 24th brief, the Migration Policy Institute (MPI) in Washington estimated that up to 7.2 million non-citizens could be granted the ability to live and work in the country. Among the nearly 7.2 million unauthorized immigrants who MPI estimates could benefit under the House-passed legislation are 2.6 million DREAMers, people who entered the U.S. before the age of 18.

Democrats originally pushed for language in the bill that would have transitioned illegal immigrants to lawful permanent resident status, which would have allowed them to apply for citizenship.
The Senate parliamentarian barred the provision, prompting Democrats to pick up the parole language, which allows illegal immigrants to become lawful permanent residents later. The Immigration and Nationality Act requires that parole be used on a case by case basis by the Department of Homeland Security.
If the Senate amends the bill, the House will have to vote again on the changes.

‘Build Back Better’: Democrats just gave the rich a massive tax cut – that heavily benefits blue states
November 21st, 2021
WASHINGTON, DC – On Friday morning, the House of Representatives passed its version of President Joe Biden’s $1.75 trillion “Build Back Better” social welfare and climate bill containing massive tax breaks for the wealthy.
Of course! https://t.co/OyvJPn2IGg
— Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) November 17, 2021
To secure the support of moderate Democrats, party leaders included a provision that restores a lucrative tax break that former President Donald Trump slashed in his signature 2017 tax law.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) oversaw the passage of the filibuster-proof $1.75 billion budget reconciliation package. Breitbart News explained how the state and local tax provision in the bill would represent a windfall for the wealthy on the backs of the middle class:
“As part of the package, the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction cap would be increased from its current $10,000 to $80,000 which would effectively amount to a $625 billion tax cut for the wealthiest Americans living in blue states like New York, Connecticut, and California.”
The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB) said that the wealthy would save significantly more from the SALT change than middle class Americans are receiving from the child tax credit expansion approved under the American Rescue Plan:
“A household making $1 million per year will receive ten times as much from SALT cap relief as a middle-class family will receive from the child tax credit expansion.”
Yeah, childcare and expanding healthcare would be terrible for the middle class. Much better for the middle class is a tax cut for the very wealthy. pic.twitter.com/NY6ckc7snB

The child tax credit under the American Rescue Plan providing a child tax credit was expanded for the 2021 tax year to a total of $3,600 for children five and younger, and $3,000 for those ages 6 through 17.
Jason Furman, a Harvard economist who served as the chair of President Barack Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers, called the proposed SALT tax cut “obscene.” He tweeted on November 2:
“My guess is the majority of Americans with a net worth of $50 to $300 million would get a tax cut under the Build Back Better plan with a full repeal of SALT.
“The bill would do more for the super-rich than it does for climate change, childcare or preschool.
“That’s obscene.”

Chuck Marr, Senior Director of Federal Tax Policy for the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, wrote that the bill could provide a $25,900 tax cut to families making several million dollars per year. He wrote:
“The SALT cap in the 2017 tax law targeted households with higher incomes who pay substantial state and local taxes; these households disproportionately live in states that impose higher taxes to support more robust public services, where political power tends to be held by Democrats. In these states, the cap typically affects about 9 in 10 households with incomes in the top 95th to 99th percentiles.
“The House provision… would expand the amount of state and local taxes that any household could deduct, no matter how high its income. Households making several million dollars a year could get a $25,900 tax cut.”
Democrats (including famous TAX THE RICH dress wearer @AOC) will be voting on the BBB today which includes a MASSIVE tax cut for the wealthy. Estimated at $380,000,000,000. The second largest financial component of the entire bill.
Tax the Rich my ass.https://t.co/02Y4rBWfCZ
— ☪️ 🅷🆄🅲🅺 (@benigma2017) November 18, 2021
He went on to say that Democrats’ claims that the “Build Back Better” bill aims to provide relief to middle class Americans is “egregious”:
“There’s no way to justify these tax cuts as ‘middle-class’ tax relief. They are particularly egregious given that BBB aims to provide the most help for low- and middle-income households while reducing tax advantages for wealthy households.”
The bill still needs to be approved by the Senate, which Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said he wants to accomplish by Christmas. Passage, however, is in no way guaranteed. He said he wants to get the bill to President Biden to sign quickly, calling the bill “help for middle class families.
To do so, Democratic leaders will have to get all 50 members of his caucus, from Republican Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia to Democratic Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, to back the same sweeping plan.
There are likely to be multiple tax and provisional changes to the bill, including paid leave, in the Senate. If there are amendments to the bill, the House would have to hold another vote on the new version of the bill.
The single biggest provision in Biden bill in first half-decade is tax cut for wealthy
@SpeakerPelosi how is this good for the middle class or any class but the rich? Thought you were increasing taxes for the rich not giving them more bonuses https://t.co/mPyrcBDC4F

Support in the House is fragile, and Democrats can only afford three defections. One Democrat, Jared Golden of voted against the bill on Friday.
Golden cited the SALT provision as his reason for voting no:
“Many of my colleagues argue this major line item is worth accepting to pass the rest of the bill. I disagree.”

Maher: Hey Biden – “How are we going to ‘build back better’ if we have no workers and no supplies?”
October 11, 2021
On Friday, October 8th, HBO’s “Real Time” host, Bill Maher posed the question many are asking themselves, how the Build Back Better bill will help the economy when there is a shortage of workers and building supplies are being held up in supply chain issues.
Maher said:
“It’s interesting because I keep reading about the Build Back Better bill. They want — we can’t — we don’t have enough workers, even if we passed it tomorrow. And because all of these supply chain problems, we don’t have building supplies. So, how are we going to build back better if we have no workers and no supplies.”
He added:
“It’s a good idea, though. It’s always a good idea.”
⚠️ "Biden’s spending spree would destroy a lot more than it builds. $1.2 trillion “infrastructure” bill would spend just 10% of funds on bridges and roads, hundreds of billions in the name of funding socialist “climate” programs." #SaveOurCountry #ampFW https://t.co/VubNLJYmWM

For months, President Joe Biden has been touting his false claim that his multitrillion-dollar spending agenda, that is the Build Back Better bill and his infrastructure bill, would cost the country “zero” dollars. In an appearance in Michigan, as he gave a speech promoting both, he said:
“Best of all, the cost of these bills, in terms of adding to the deficit, is zero. Zero. Zero.”
The president repeated his widely-mocked “zero” cost talking point, even though fact checkers from the establishment media have called him out on the dubious claim.
Even the Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler gave Biden “Two Pinocchios” for his claim, point out that the Congressional Budget Office reported the infrastructure bill alone would add $256 billion to the deficit over 10 years.
Politifact also questioned Biden’s assertion, noting that the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget had estimated the infrastructure plan would add $400 billion to the deficit.

Biden’s proposed $3.5 trillion entitlement spending agenda is not yet set, especially since the administration is already floating lowering the proposed spending levels closer to $2 trillion. Left-wing Democrat Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) also stated that the $3.5 trillion piece of legislation will cost “nothing.” She said:
“The first thing I would say is, it’s actually not. Whatever the umber is, it’s not that number because we’re paying for the whole thing and so you could say it’s a $0 bill because we’re going to actually tax corporations and the wealthiest individuals to pay for those things.”
Jayapal went on to say that it is essential to put Biden’s agenda in place and every Democrat should make sure that happens. She added:
“I think it’s absolutely unthinkable to vote no on the president’s agenda and that’s the Build Back Better Act. And that’s why we’re saying, let’s get this done. We need a couple, a little but more time, just maybe two weeks, three weeks. But, we can do this.”
She said:
“And we can show that we, as the Democratic Party, can deliver for the people when they gave us the House, the Senate and the White House based on a set of promises we made.”
Dear @harrisonjaime @DNC @DNCWarRoom
Please get the word out about what's actually IN the Build Back Better plan. https://t.co/50lVKr8U9K— Anne C 💕 Love is Love 💕 🇺🇸 (@annedeuceofcups) October 10, 2021
At the end of September, the Build Back Better legislative agenda stalled as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) delayed the House vote. Pelosi’s roadblock for passing the bill came from House progressives, who said they would block the bill if it came to a vote that Thursday, September 30th.
Despite Biden’s proposed tax hikes on corporations and families making over $400,000 a year, it remains highly unlikely the final legislation will raise enough revenue to make his record spending levels end at zero.
