KENDALL COUNTY, Texas – We are sad to report that we’ve lost another member of the Blue Family.
On Tuesday morning a Kendall County sheriff’s deputy was tragically killed in the line of duty when a pickup truck crashed while the officer was conducting a routine traffic stop.
The name of the deputy has not yet been made public and will remain that way until the family has been properly notified. More details are to be released later in the day.
BREAKING: A Kendall County deputy was struck and killed during a routine traffic stop, according to a spokesperson with the department.

Authorities say that around 7:30 a.m., the deputy pulled over a silver vehicle. During the traffic stop, the deputy was struck and killed by a black pickup truck. There is no word on the condition of the other drivers involved in the accident.
Authorities have closed down the surrounding roadways while an investigation is conducted. Boerne Police are on the scene to assist with the accident.
The sheriff’s office says they will be providing more information on the incident later on Tuesday.
