Bombshell: “Squad” member Omar reportedly funnels 70 percent of campaign expenditures to husband’s company

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN- So, we don’t need campaign finance reform, huh?

Take the case of law-skirting, far-left, “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who is still under investigation for allegedly marrying her brother to get him into the country and bypass immigration laws.

New campaign finance filings show that Omar has managed to steer $2.7 million to her husband’s company for this election cycle. Nothing to see here!

The new filings showed that Omar has sent $1.1 million more to her husband’s firm, the E Street Group, which brought the total to $2.7 million.

The additional funds amount to nearly 70 percent of the $1.6 million her campaign disbursed between July 23 and the end of September, the Free Beacon reported citing campaign finance documents.

The money ostensibly covered matters such as advertising, consulting, travel expenses and production costs. Nice gig if you can get it.

Omar has been skirting the law in the two years since she was first elected in 2018. Her marriages of convenience have raised eyebrows, and the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board ordered her to repay thousands of dollars for campaign finance violations.

More recently, she is now facing complaints that she may have violated House ethics rules related to an advance she received for her memoir. Can’t imagine that would be a real popular book, but we digress.

Omar has steered beaucoup amounts of cash to her husband, Tim Mynett’s company during this election cycle. The E Street Group is far and above the biggest benefactor of her campaign cash.

Omar and Mynett married last March after long denying their romantic dalliances. In August divorce filings, Mynett’s ex-wife revealed that Omar had been having an affair with her then-husband. She’s a real ethical one, that Omar.

In fact, when the information came forth about her alleged affair with Mynett, Omar said that she was not separated from her then-husband, Ahmed Absdisalan Hirsi. And any talk about Omar’s personal affairs were deemed out of bounds.

“I have no interest in allowing the conversation about my personal life to continue and so I have no desire to discuss it.”

Meanwhile, Mynett also denied having an affair with Omar, and accused his then-wife of attempting to “ruin” his career.

Free Beacon reached out to Omar’s campaign about her campaign finances enriching her husband’s firm, and in turn her. If it isn’t illegal, it is surely unethical.

Among those who have donated to Omar’s campaign include at least three universities, with the University of California being the largest donor at just over $24,000.

Other donors include unions, with SEIU donating over $10,000, the Painters and Allied Trades Union $10,000, the American Federation of Teachers just over $10,000, and the Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union just over $10,000. Not to be left out, tech companies such as Microsoft, Apple and Amazon have also donated.

It should be noted that the organizations themselves did not donate, but rather the organizations’ PACs, individual members or employees or owners, including individuals’ immediate families for full disclosure.

Earlier this year, Law Enforcement Today reported on Omar’s “marriage of convenience” to her brother. For more on that, we invite you to:

DIG DEEPER

Although allegations have been circling for a few years already regarding Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar having married her brother, it appears as though the matter will finally be officially investigated.

Originally, Minnesota state Representative Steve Drazkowski filed a complaint against Omar for her 2009 marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi with Minnesota District of the Department of Justice.

The complaint was filed last year at the order of the department head, US Attorney Erica MacDonald, and claimed that sources had revealed that the couple were in fact siblings.

Last October, the FBI was presented with documents by a “concerned party” regarding Omar’s 2009 marriage to Elmi.

The two FBI agents that received the information told the source that they would share the documents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the US Department of Education, due to Elmi having attended North Dakota State University as a citizen.

However, none of the three agencies would “confirm the existence of any ongoing or potential investigation,” according to the New York Post.

Elmi was a British citizen when the happy couple wed.

The US Department of Education was contacted by the FBI to investigate possible federal student loan fraud.  If the marriage was in fact fraudulent, then Elmi wouldn’t have been eligible for any federal student loans he received.

Interestingly, Omar is facing investigation by ICE, an organization that she openly plans to do what she can to abolish.  Her website states:

“Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is an unreformable organization that has become increasingly militarizedbrutal, and unaccountable.”

I’ll be she feels that way even more now that it’s her fraudulent actions they’re looking to prove.

In July 18, 2019, The Blaze stated that its previously reported evidence:

“…appear[s] to give probable cause to investigate Omar for eight instances of perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, up to eight years of state and federal tax fraud, two years of federal student loan fraud, and even bigamy.

To be clear: The facts describe perhaps the most extensive spree of illegal misconduct committed by a House member in American history.”

It’s been reported that the Somalian community is well aware of the “open secret,” but don’t dare disclose the information.  Or at least not as a publicly named source.

Try to keep up:

Omar was engaged to Ahmed Hirsi in 2002 but the couple had a Muslim ceremony rather than a legal marriage.  They had 2 children and split up in 2008.

Omar then legally married her brother…sorry…her alleged brother, Elmi, who is 3 years younger than her, in 2009.  The two “broke up” in 2011 but remained legally married.  In 2012, Omar and Hirsi reunited and had another child.

Despite being legally married to Elmi, Omar filed joint tax returns with Hirsi in 2014-2015.

In 2016, allegations popped up regarding Elmi and Omar being siblings on Somali Spot message board by a user named AbdiJohnson, which have since been deleted.

Omar legally divorced Elmi in 2017, filing for a no-fault divorce and claiming under penalty of perjury that she wasn’t able to locate Elmi due to his return to the UK.

Omar then married Hirsi in 2018, legally this time.

“Marital problems” developed, partially due to Omar’s rising stardom as a “squad” member and her constant travel, and partially due to her affair with her political strategist, Tim Mynett.  Omar and Hirsi’s divorce was finalized in November of last year after an October filing, although they kept it a secret for as long as possible.

Hirsi remarried 37 days after the divorce was finalized.

The New York Post obtained a plethora of documents and discovered that Omar appeared to be living with Hirsi since their Muslim union in 2002 despite the “split” and her marriage to her alleged brother.

Reports show that Omar was physically living with both Elmi and Hirsi during the time she was supposed to be separated from Hirsi and married to Elmi.

Clear as mud?

Omar’s 2017 divorce from Elmi was based on her swearing under oath that she had no way of contacting him.  The documents, however, including lease and eviction records show that Elmi was living just 2.6 miles away from her at a Minneapolis apartment.

A month after Omar filed the divorce papers Elmi was caught in Minneapolis driving on a cancelled license, and the address listed then was another apartment in Minneapolis.

Retired state trooper murdered, two more troopers wounded in cigar room shooting - in Chicago, of course.

Additionally, Omar’s campaign funds are being scrutinized due to the near $270,000 that has been funneled into her love affair, Mynett.

The two deny the affair, but Mynett’s wife filed for divorce last August and the paperwork stated that Mynett had told her of his affairs with Omar in April, saying he was in love with the Representative.

Specifically, the investigation into that matter seeks to determine whether Omar used travel funds illegally in order to have Mynett travel along with her wherever she went.  This investigation was sparked when Omar noted funds of $3,000 being spent on “travel,” but the entry wasn’t itemized as required for that category.

If the FBI is able to prove that Omar did in fact marry her brother, a sentiment she adamantly denies, the conviction of marriage fraud is punishable with up to 5 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

To end on a high note, here are some things that Omar’s fellow Somalians are currently saying about her on the Somali Spot message board:

Ahlubayt said “I generally don’t like Ilhan, how she turned out to be, pro Arab and etc.”

Muhammad Bire said:

“I think long term, even if she does win this race, she shot herself in the foot with antisemitism. Any American knows Jews control the media, money, and policies in this country,”

and

“You know, I can count on 10 hands the Somalis I know that would’ve been better suited for a position in congress. Compare her to her peers. She doesn’t seem very qualified.”

SuleymanPitt astutely noted:

“Ilhan purely because she is somali. I dont care about anything else. More somalis in power the better. If Xi Jing Ping was somali, I would be pro China.”

Cilmi-doon said:

“This Arab lady is a pawn of the white supremacists. She’ll just fade away,” and “As for Ilhan [Omar], I don’t agree with everything she says but, I support her based on the fact that she’s a successful sister. That much I owe her.”

Awdalia Rising said:

“Ms. Omar has embarrassed us enough.”

Mbxsys said:

“Why vote for a bedwench Somali though? Why empower that?” and “She stopped being a “sister” when she cheated on her black Muslim family for an old white Jewish assistant, gave him half a million illegally, and assisted in the killing of Margery Magill.”

General Asad said:

“Ilhan has made way too many enemies.  Her campaign video’s comment section is telling. No one will vote her in.”

Fingers crossed, General!
