“Biden’s Gestapo”: FBI conducting investigation of Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar – a Biden border critic

The following contains editorial content which is the opinion of the author.

LAREDO, TX- So apparently, Merrick Garland’s personal Gestapo, the FBI, has time to target people besides visitors to the US Capitol grounds on January 6, 2021, and parents attending school board meetings.

They also apparently have time to investigate congressional Democrats who don’t play along with the Biden agenda.

Such is the case of Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar (TX). According to sources, the FBI was seen near Cuellar’s Laredo, TX home Wednesday as part of what was describes as a “court-authorized ongoing investigation,” the Texas Tribune reported.

According to FBI spokesperson Rosanne Hughes, she could only confirm that law enforcement authorities were in the area, however, would not divulge why they were there or the basis for the investigation.

Hughes issued a statement in which she confirmed the FBI was present on two streets in the vicinity of Cuellar’s house in Laredo “conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity.”

“The FBI was present in the vicinity of Windridge Drive and Estate Drive in Laredo conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity,” the FBI told Fox News in a statement. “The FBI cannot provide further comment on an ongoing investigation.”

According to a reporter on the scene for The Monitor Valerie Gonzalez, she said that agents were taking photographs of trucks in the driveway and said it was unknown if anyone was inside the home.

In addition, Gonzalez said FBI vehicles were seen at Cuellar’s campaign headquarters and said items were seized from Cuellar’s home.

“Congressman Cuellar will fully cooperate in any investigation,” said a Cuellar spokesperson in a statement to Fox News. “He is committed to ensuring that justice and the law are upheld.”

Cuellar represents the 28th Congressional district in Texas which goes from San Antonio to Laredo and down to Rio Grande City, and has been an outspoken critic of Biden’s border policies. He further has called for Kamala Harris, Biden’s so-called “border czar,” to be replaced.

Cuellar is one of the most powerful members of the House by virtue of his membership on the House Appropriations Committee. He is also one of the more moderate Democrats in the House and is highly regarded even by Republicans in the Texas House delegation.

That said, his moderate voting record has drawn outrage from the far-left loons in the Democratic Party. He is facing a primary challenge in March from attorney Jessica Cisneros.

Cuellar has painted himself as something of a Democratic outsider, having joining Republicans to vote against Democratic priorities, particular those centering around abortion.

Cuellar staved off a fierce challenge in the 2020 primary against Cisneros, who drew support from far-left organizations such as EMILY’s List and other high-profile liberals. She came within only four points of defeating him for the Democratic nod.

In the general election, Cuellar beat his Republican opponent by some 18 points while Biden fared somewhat poorly, only winning by a five point margin.

Despite his detractors, the Tribune notes, Cuellar is known to pull his weight in fundraising for fellow Democrats and he is on track next term to get an appropriations committee gavel, which is known around the Capitol as “a cardinal.”

The FBI’s investigation caught some local officials by surprise, with Webb County-Zapata County District Attorney Isidro Alaniz telling the Tribune he has no idea what the FBI may be investigating.

He noted that Cuellar is highly regarded in the community, and has always been accessible to both local officials as well as members of the community.

Alaniz called the timing of the FBI’s raid “questionable,” and is concerned it could negatively impact Cuellar’s reelection campaign.

“He’s done an excellent job in all the years of service when he was a state representative, and now as a United States congressman, and I myself continue to have the utmost respect for Congressman Cuellar,” Alaniz said.

“The law is the law, however, and the law has to be respected. So you know, in time that’s what the court process is for. And the truth will eventually come out.”

RIO GRANDE SECTOR, TEXAS- Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), impatient with inaction by the federal government as his state’s border with Mexico is overrun with illegal immigrants, announced the Lonestar State has begun construction of its own border wall to fill the gaps left when Biden halted construction as one of his first acts as president, Breitbart reports.

This past week, construction crews began erecting walls in the Rio Grande Valley Sector on land owned by the state of Texas.

“Texas has officially started building its own border wall,” Abbott tweeted Friday. “Texas is stepping up to do the federal government’s job.”

“Three billion dollars of Texas taxpayer money has been devoted to this cause of Texas securing the border, and so we have a lot of money available to us to continue to build the wall,” Abbott said in an interview on Fox Business’ Varney & Co.

“For Texas [this] is going to cost less than it did for the Trump administration for one reason. And that’s because in Texas, unlike the Trump administration, we’re not having to devote money to acquire the land…The state of Texas owns [land] on the border itself.”

“There are property owners of massive acreage on the border who are fed up with Biden’s open border policies,” Abbott added, “and they are donating their land to Texas for us to be able to use that land for free to build a wall on their property.”

The Del Rio Sector, which is the second busiest of nine southwest border sectors, saw construction begun earlier this year as the State of Texas filled the gap abandoned by the federal government.

The announcement by Abbott in Starr County, Texas coincided with an announcement by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that CBP agents had apprehended an additional 173,620 illegals in November, according to Breitbart Texas.

The November apprehensions which occurred in the Rio Grande Valley—47,710, represented an increase of more than 175 percent over when Donald Trump was president a year earlier.

The border wall construction, according to the Daily Mail, is part of the state’s Operation Lone Star initiative, which uses the Texas National Guard and the Texas Department of Public Safety to enforce immigration laws.

In addition to the border wall now under construction, Texas has also worked on placing physical hurdles in place, such as steel shipping containers stacked up in order to deter illegals.

“While Biden does nothing, we are stepping up to protect our communities,” Abbott tweeted Saturday. “The Lone Star State is securing the border.”

Records indicate that Posillico Civil Inc., an engineering company, secured a $162 million contract from Texas in November. As of Saturday afternoon, some 880 feet of barrier wall had been erected.

Abbott also promised the new barrier will secure the border in which Biden will not, but it will also get built at a faster pace than during the Trump years.

“There are many large landowners on the border who are so fed up with the Biden administration they are allowing Texas to build the border wall on their property,” Abbott told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson last week.

“We have 100 miles or so of land that’s being donated to the state of Texas for us to build the wall to better secure our border.”

Abbott also said he would be asking the federal government to reimburse the state.

“We are seeking federal government to pay for this and there have been requests made by members of the Texas congressional delegation to the federal government for funding to get all of this done,” Abbott said.

“Texas will also be bringing legal action against the federal government for the state of Texas to get reimbursed for all the costs we have incurred to do the federal government’s job.”

FY 2021 saw the highest number of border crossings in history, totaling some 1.7 million.

Earlier this month, the Biden administration was forced to resume Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” program by a federal judge. Despite two attempts by Biden to end the policy, they were overruled in court.

Furthermore on Friday, Senate parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough thwarted Democrats’ attempt to stuff immigration reform into the Build Back Better financial albatross, dealing a blow to their attempt to grant amnesty to millions.

For more on Biden’s malfeasance when it comes to the border, we invite you to:

WASHINGTON, D.C.- On Thursday, October 21st, during a town hall in Baltimore with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, President Joe Biden claimed that he did not have enough time to visit the Southern border, despite taking dozens of trips to his home in Delaware.

Biden said:

“I’ve been there before and I haven’t. I mean, I know it well. I guess I should go down, but the —but the whole point of it is: I haven’t had a whole hell of lot of time go get down, but I plan on — now, my wife, Jill, has been down. She’s been on both sides of the river. She’s seen the circumstances there. She’s look into those places.”

According to a tally by former CBS reported Mark Knoller, the president was scheduled to leave the White House on Friday, October 22nd to return home to Delaware for his 20th weekend since becoming president.

The president has also spent 10 weekends away at the presidential retreat at Camp David. Biden seemingly enjoys leaving the White House on a Friday and returning home on Monday, following a similar schedule that he enjoyed as a U.S. senator.

However, instead of riding Amtrak, Biden now utilizes the presidential Marine One helicopter to fly back and froth from Washington, D.C. In August, Biden took nine Marine One flights in just 18 days in an effort to salvage his vacation in Delaware and Camp David even has he struggled to reach to his botched exit out of Afghanistan.

When pressed about Biden’s claim in the CNN town hall, White House press secretary Jen Psaki hung her answer on a technicality — insisting he drove “through the border” while on the campaign trail on 2008. She stated:

“As you may have seen, there’s been reporting that he did drive through the border when he was on the campaign trail in 2008. And he is certainly familiar with the fact, and it stuck with him, with the fact that in El Paso, the border goes right through the center of town.”

Psaki emphasized that Biden has “worked on these issues throughout his entire career,” despite appearing to have not purposely visited the southern border since. She added:

“He went to Mexico and Central America 10 times to address border issues and talk about what we can do to reduce the number of migrants who are coming to the border.”

Psaki also minimized the need for Biden to stage a “photo op” at the border to show that his administration is serious about tackling immigration issues. She said:

“He does need need a visit to the border to know what a mess was left by the last administration.”

She added:

“There is a focus right now on a photo op. The president does not believe a photo op is the same as solutions. That may be a difference he has with Republicans.”

The New York Post reported that since Biden has taken office, more than 125,000 unaccompanied children have arrived at the southern border, smashing any previous records.

Between 14,000 and 19,000 unaccompanied minors have crossed the border each month. Those are numbers far above the 3,000 to 6,000 who have arrived in an average month over the past 10 years. Before 2021, the highest number of children encountered at the border in a single month was 11,861 during the humanitarian crisis in May 2019.

Reportedly, planes containing underage children have been quietly arriving at the Westchester County Airport in the middle of the night. After arriving in Westchester, the migrants are loaded into buses and driven to New Jersey and Long Island, where they meet up with relatives or sponsors.

Editor note: In 2020, we saw a nationwide push to “defund the police”.  While we all stood here shaking our heads wondering if these people were serious… they cut billions of dollars in funding for police officers.  And as a result, crime has skyrocketed – all while the same politicians who said “you don’t need guns, the government will protect you” continued their attacks on both our police officers and our Second Amendment rights.

And that’s exactly why we’re launching this national crowdfunding campaign as part of our efforts to help “re-fund the police”.

Report: Biden administration canceling remaining border wall contracts in two overwhelmed border sectors in Texas

October 9th, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C.- According to reports, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that the Biden administration will be canceling any remaining border wall contracts in two of the most overwhelmed sectors in Texas, the Laredo sector and the Rio Grande Valley sector.

The Biden administration will allegedly be allocating the remaining funds to conduct “environmental planning” in the area. The DHS will also ask Congress to approve more funding for what they are call “smarter” border security measures. According to the release, DHS stated, in part:

“The administration continues to call on Congress to cancel remaining border wall funding and instead fund smarter border security measures, like border technology and modernization of land ports of entry, that are proven to be more effective at improving safety and security at the border.”

Biden and his administration do not seem to care at all about stopping illegal immigrants from flooding the U.S. or protecting Americans. Reportedly, they were even willing to spend a whopping $5 million PER DAY to NOT build the wall.

The severely understaffed U.S. authorities who are struggling with the record-shattering influx of illegal immigrants at the southern border could use all the help they can get right now as they prepare for another unprecedented month of illegal border crossings.

The DHS should be demanding that Biden send in the U.S. military to get a handle on the border crisis, not waste hundreds of millions of dollars that was already spent on contracts to finish the wall. Reportedly, the latest cancellations cover some 44 miles. Texas Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar, a proponent of wasting tax-payer dollars, said in a statement:

“U.S. Border Patrol’s Rio Grande Valley and Laredo Sectors will now be able to utilize redirected funds for the development of innovative border security technology that helps DHS achieve operational control and provide situation awareness between the ports of entry. Nevertheless, we must continue fighting for Congress to cancel all remaining border wall contracts.”

Instead of helping secure the southern border and protect their fellow Americans, Biden’s open-borders has undermined those working at the border as well as U.S. immigration law at every turn, while also continuing to encourage unvetted foreign nationals to come in droves by offering up taxpayer-funded incentives and bogus amnesty that shields them from deportation.

According to reports, the Biden administration is preparing for up to a 400,000 illegal immigrant surge in October. The previous two months have each seen about 200,000 illegal immigrant encounters at the southern border.

The issue of uncontrolled mass migration under Biden came to national attention in September when about 25,000 Haitian migrants were allowed to freely cross back and forth between Del Rio, Texas and Mexico while being processed by Border Patrol at an open air detention camp.

NBC News reported that DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told officials that up to 400,000 illegal immigrants could come to the U.S. during the month of October if Title 42 was blocked by federal courts. Title 42 was recently upheld by a federal appeals court.

At the same time, Mayorkas issued a sweeping policy change that forbids targeting most illegal immigrants for deportation, giving them de factor amnesty. Meanwhile, the government of Panama said that 60,000 migrants are headed towards the U.S.
