Governor DeSantis: Biden administration flew illegal immigrant into state who then murdered a Florida man

JACKSONVILLE, FL — A 24-year-old-illegal immigrant, who is accused of murdering a father of four, had first been allegedly flown into Florida via a private flight facilitated by President Joe Biden’s administration.

On Nov. 8, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis spoke with FOX News host Tucker Carlson about Yery Medina-Ulloa, an illegal immigrant originally from Honduras who entered the U.S. at the Texas border.

After posing as a minor at the southern border, Medina-Ulloa was transported to Florida, where the victim, Francisco Javier Cuellar, 46, picked him up.

In Texas, the suspect had provided identification that indicated he was 17 years old, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

According to DeSantis, Medina-Ulloa came to Florida on one of the Biden administration’s secret flights to resettle underage illegal immigrants.

Carlson reported that the Biden administration is secretly resettling illegal immigrants throughout the U.S. and that nearly 80 private flights have landed in Florida alone.

DeSantis told Carlson:

“So, these are flights that are coming in two or three in the morning. The feds, of course, control the airspace and they’re there on the ground.

“They take these folks, and then they send them in other parts of Florida by bus or other parts of the southeast.

“And that individual, who was murdered, was, in fact, murdered by an illegal alien who was on one of Biden’s flights, these midnight flights, unannounced, no notice, no support for the state, no ability for us to veto it ahead of time.

“And if Biden had not been doing that, if he’d been doing his job, that individual be alive today.”

Police said that Medina-Ulloa told them he got into an argument with Cuellar, who he referred to as his “uncle.” However, the men were not related, according to authorities.

Medina-Ulloa claimed Cuellar hit him.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said that surveillance video from inside the home captured the deadly incident. The Sheriff’s Office also said they recovered a knife from the area where the suspect had been walking.

New York Post reported that the Jacksonville Sheriff Office’s warrant mentioned that home security cameras showed the suspect “stabbing the victim numerous times and repeatedly hitting him with a chair.”

Carlson asked the governor if the White House was allowed to send illegal immigrants to whatever states it chose.

DeSantis said that his administration was looking at ways to go after the private contractors responsible for operating the clandestine flights:

“So, we’re looking at what we can do. I think that they use these private contractors. So, what we’re looking at is how can we fight back against the contractors?

“We can obviously deny them state contracts, which we will do. Can we deny them access to Florida’s market generally? Can we tax them? Can we do things to provide disincentives so they can’t do it?

“So, we’re going to do whatever we can to do it. Unfortunately, they do have the ability to get into these airports because the FAA controls it, and the Feds really have jurisdiction over it.

“So, we’re trying to work with the local airport authority, see if there’s a way that we can get around that, but we are going to go after some of these contractors because they are bringing in people that are causing burdens on us and as we see tragically, caused someone to lose their life.

The victim’s daughter, MaryCarmen, 18, said she knew little about the suspect, who is charged with her father’s caught-on-video slaying.

She told New York Post that she believes he arrived from one of the Biden administration’s immigration flights:

“My dad told me one day he was going to the airport, and then this guy came out of nowhere and was at work the next day. I didn’t really ask questions.”

MaryCarmen also said the suspect moved in with Cuellar, who put him to work at the family business — La Raza Mexican Store.

During a phone interview, MaryCarmen indicated that her father was compassionate about poor people:

“My dad seemed like he was doing a favor for somebody because where [Ulloa] came from they are super poor.

“We feel that someone asked my dad to do it. My dad was really compassionate like that, he would help someone who needed it.”

DeSantis’ office had released a statement to media, saying:

“This horrific crime is the latest example of how unfettered illegal migration costs Floridians’ lives.

“If not for the Biden Administration’s unlawful ‘catch and release’ policy, Mr. Cuellar would still be alive today.

“Governor DeSantis is committed to doing everything in his power to keep Floridians safe. But as long as the Biden Administration persists in refusing to enforce our country’s immigration laws, Americans are at needless risk.

“How many more lives will be lost before the Biden Administration decides to uphold the law?”

The brutal murder of Cuellar reveals the consequences of the Biden administration’s catch-and-release policies that have brought in hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants into the country with unknown backgrounds.

Under the Biden’s administration’s catch-and-release policies, illegal immigrants are released into the interior of the U.S. instead of being held for detention or removed. The illegal immigrants are then asked to appear for their future court hearings.

However, according to Immigration Reform, Biden’s policies are not working:

“The administration restored these policies in January and they can only be described as disastrous. Most [immigrants] do not end up showing up to their court hearing.

“Many could end up committing additional crimes such as seen in this case. Most are not tested for COVID-19 prior to release and some have still been released even after testing positive for the disease.

“The administration is also not applying Title 42—the public health order that can quickly remove illegal aliens from the country during disease outbreaks—to most minors entering the country unlawfully.

“Even if Ulloa said he was 17 years old, this order, if applied to minors, would have removed him instantly.”

Immigration Reform also pointed out that Biden’s catch-and-release policies counter what the Trump administration put in place in 2019:

“The Trump administration halted catch and release by creating the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) program in which asylum seekers were required to remain in Northern Mexico until their court date in the U.S.

“President Biden ended this program immediately after taking the White House and has not brought it back even after the Supreme Court ruled that it must reinstate it.”

Editor note: In 2020, we saw a nationwide push to “defund the police”.  While we all stood here shaking our heads wondering if these people were serious… they cut billions of dollars in funding for police officers.  And as a result, crime has skyrocketed – all while the same politicians who said “you don’t need guns, the government will protect you” continued their attacks on both our police officers and our Second Amendment rights.

And that’s exactly why we’re launching this national crowdfunding campaign as part of our efforts to help “re-fund the police”.
