WASHINGTON, DC – In a video posted to Twitter on September 17th, which also serves as Citizen Day, President Joe Biden referred to illegal immigrants as being “brave” while reiterating his intentions to create a “pathway to citizenship” for individuals who’ve illegally entered the country.

While delivering a Citizenship Day address via a recorded video uploaded to Twitter, President Biden prefaced his address by noting that America has been “enriched” by the presence of immigrants:

“You know, ever since our nation was found, America has been nurtured and enriched by contributions, sacrifices, and dreams of immigrants from every part of the world. Every immigrant comes here from different circumstances and for different reasons.”

From there, President Biden proclaimed that immigrants coming into the United States all have a common character trait of “courage”, focusing on the assimilation aspects that accompany leaving one’s home to get settled into a foreign country.

According to President Biden, it’s “the job of every single” American to make sure that the country remains “worthy” of attracting immigrants:

“But they all have one thing in common: courage. It takes courage to leave behind all you’ve ever known and start a new life in America. And Citizenship Day is a reminder that the job of every single one of us is to ensure that America remains a country worthy of immigrants’ aspirations.”

President Biden continued from that point, saying that his administration is working to create “millions of good jobs” for immigrants, saying that they deserve a spot within the nation’s “middle class”:

“My administration strives to do that by focusing on challenges facing working families, helping them gain a little breathing room, creating millions of good jobs so that more families can carve out their place in the middle class.

And part of my Building Back Better initiative means recognizing the dignity and contributions of immigrant families – especially front line workers who have carried our country on their backs throughout this pandemic.”

But then the true nature of President Biden’s address came to the forefront, as he wasn’t specifically talking about run-of-the-mill aspiring immigrants awaiting entry into the United States – he was talking about the population already present who are here and undocumented:

“That’s why I strongly support giving Dreamers, TPS recipients, farm workers, and essential workers the long-awaited pathway to citizenship they deserve.

I’m working closely with Congress right now to finally make that a reality – to ensure that every brave immigrant can pursue all the rights and opportunities that come with American citizenship.

I’ve also directed my cabinet to make sure that the naturalization process is faster, more accessible, and more efficient – especially for immigrants who served in our armed forces.”

In his closing remarks, President Biden made a weird proclamation that the title of “citizen” is equivalent to the title of “President”, a notion that not only makes little sense but is also blatantly absurd:

“You know, in our democracy, the title ‘citizen’ is supreme. It’s equal even to the title of ‘President’.

And I’m hopeful and I’m confident that this year we’re finally going to put that within reach of so many deserving immigrants who have sacrificed and contributed so much to our nation already.”

Overall, President Biden’s Citizenship Day address seemed to celebrate individuals who aren’t even citizens – with many who wound up entering the country illegally to begin with.

Sen. Kennedy: Trusting Biden team with immigration is like “trusting Harvey Weinstein with your daughter”

(Originally published September 18th, 2021)

UNITED STATES- On Friday, September 17th, during an appearance on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) ripped President Joe Biden and his administration’s poor handling of the U.S.-Mexico border crisis.

He said that the Biden administration has “an open border policy,” which has led to the crisis at the border. He asserted that trusting Biden with managing the border properly is like “trusting Harvey Weinstein with your daughter.” Kennedy said:

“Look, I regret having to say this, but when it comes to illegal immigration, you just can’t trust the Biden administration. It would be like trusting Harvey Weinstein with your daughter.

When it comes to illegal immigration, the Biden administration lies like they breathe. They’re like timeshare salesmen.”

He added:

“I mean, they’re peerless. The truth is that the Biden administration has an open border policy. The truth is that this year we’ll have well over 2 million people coming into our country, allowed in by the president, and we don’t have the slightest idea who they are.

And I believe that the reason that they’re limiting drone usage is because they don’t want the American public to know and I think this is illegal.”

He continued:

“And I think they are also misreading the American people. The American people support legal immigration.

That’s why we welcome about a million of our world’s neighbors every year to become American citizens legally. That’s more than any other country in the world, but we do not support illegal immigration.”

Kennedy concluded by saying:

“We not have an open border policy. The nut-jobs are in charge in the Biden administration.”

On Thursday, September 16th, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) also tore apart President Biden for not only mishandling the southern border crisis, but for mishandling the withdrawal from Afghanistan, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the economy.

Jordan, pointing to the “chaos” at the border, a surge in crime and inflation, argued that Biden and his administration have “not done one thing right.”

Host Stuart Varney asked Jordan, “Can you show me or point to me any single success for President Biden in his first eight months?” Jordan responded by saying:

“No. We went from a secure border to chaos. We went from energy independence to the President of the United States – think about this – the President of the United States actively lobbying OPEC to increase production – all in eight months.”

He added:

“We went from relatively safe cities to crime surge everywhere because the Democrats keep wanting to focus on defunding the police.

We went from stable pricing and increasing real wages to a 40-year inflation high … and not to mention the foreign-policy debacle that was the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

So, yeah, they have not done one thing right and that’s why his poll numbers are where they are.”

In a post on Twitter, Jorden blasted Biden for entrusting Dr. Anthony Fauci with the coronavirus pandemic and Gen. Mark Milley with Afghanistan, saying, “No wonder it’s all a mess.”

Back in August, in an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “The Faulkner Focus,” Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) joined Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) in pushing to impeach Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.

According to Roy, Biden and his administration are “purposely ignoring” the “national security crisis” at the border. He noted people are dying, children are being put into sex trafficking, and immigrants are testing positive for COVID-19. Roy added:

“It is a direct impact on our communities in Texas. And Secretary Mayorkas and President Biden and obviously Vice President Harris are completely MIA. I think, frankly, it’s purposeful. They are purposely ignoring their duty to defend the borders of the United States.”

Biden hires international migration group to help bring expelled illegal immigrants back to the U.S.

(Originally published September 16th, 2021)

WASHINGTON, DC – President Biden has decided the millions of illegal aliens in the United States are not enough and has hired an international organization to seek out and find more migrants to bring into the country.

The Biden administration announced on Monday that the Family Reunification Task Force has hired an international organization to find illegal aliens, mostly Central America, and bring them back to the United States.

The administration claims the program is designed to reunite migrant families who were separated at the southern border under former President Donald Trump’s strict, “zero-tolerance” policy on illegal border crossings.

A federal task force is launching a new program Monday that officials say will expand efforts to find parents, many of whom are in remote Central American communities, and help them return to the United States, where they will get at least three years of legal residency and other assistance, according to a report in The Boston Globe.

Michelle Brané, executive director of the administration’s Family Reunification Task Force, commented:

“We recognize that we can’t make these families completely whole again. But we want to do everything we can to put them on a path towards a better life.”

The program is contracting with the International Organization for Migration to help locate expelled migrants to return to the United States.

On February 2, 2021, President Biden ordered the formation of the President’s Interagency Task Force on the Reunification of Families Task Force and placed Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas as the Chair.

In addition to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the President’s Interagency Task Force on the Reunification of Families includes the Department of State, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Justice.

The DHS website describes the task force’s mission:

“The Task Force is identifying and implementing comprehensive strategies that will bring families back together and ensure that the children and parents who were intentionally separated from each other are provided support.”

Brané said that about 50 families have been reunited since the task force began, but that 1,000 to 2,000 remain to be located. Brané blames the Trump administration for the difficulty rejoining the families:

“It is it a huge challenge that we are absolutely committed to following through to meet and to do whatever we can to reunify these families.”

The Biden administration has not explained why the reunited families are being permitted to remain inside the United States rather than being expelled to their home countries.

During the Trump administration, illegal border crossers were being prosecuted. Children, who could not be housed with criminals, were separated and transferred to the custody of the Department of health and Human Services.

The minors would them be sent to live with sponsors, often people who were connected to the family.

In 2018, Trump ended the practice.

President Biden’s new task force will search for the families of children in countries including Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Brazil. Once located, the International Organization for Migration will help those migrants obtain passports and other travel documents to be brought back to the United States.

Once they arrive in the United States, the administration will provide them with work permits, residency for three years, and support services.

There is already a push by some liberal outlets for migrants to be given permanent legal status to remain inside the United States. Lee Gelernt, deputy director of the ACLU’s immigrant rights project, called the plan an “important first step”:

“Ultimately, we need the families to be given permanent legal status in light of what the United States government deliberately did to these families.”

The ACLU is also working with the administration to provide some form of compensation to the migrants.

Brané said that Secretary Mayorkas made it clear that the country needed to do more:

“He made it very clear that an apology is not enough, that we really need to do a lot more for them and we recognize that.”

The program comes at a time when the United States has more immigrants than any other country in the world. Although most immigrants inside the country are legal, The Pew Research Center found that 23% of the 40 million immigrants living in the U.S. are illegal.

The southern border has seen a rush of illegal crossings since President Biden took office in 2021. The Democratic president’s lax immigration enforcement laws and public calls for leniency for border crossers have fed the influx.

There is no word from the administration on the total cost of the reunification program to the American taxpayer.
