A BASEMENT SOMEWHERE, DE.- Joe Biden might want to study the history of the Obama Justice Department prior to making stupid statements such as he made over Twitter on Sunday, when he claimed that “Michael Brown’s life was ‘taken’ in Ferguson,” according to a report in Breitbart News.
Of course, Brown’s life wasn’t taken—his own actions led to his shooting death by Ferguson, Missouri police officer Darren Wilson. The whole myth of “hands up, don’t shoot” emanated from that lie.
It's been six years since Michael Brown's life was taken in Ferguson — reigniting a movement. We must continue the work of tackling systemic racism and reforming policing.

Brown’s shooting of course spurred days of violence and helped birth the Black Lives Matter movement in which sit was claimed that Brown was virtually hunted down and murdered in cold blood by police.
Brown of course had just robbed a convenience store in Ferguson and assaulted the store owner. He was confronted by Wilson, whom he assaulted and then tried to disarm.
Wilson’s shooting of Brown was deemed to be justified by legal officials in both Missouri, as well as the Obama Justice Department under Eric Holder. Biden of course was vice president under Obama, but clearly is either unaware, or forgot the specific details of the Brown case.
As expected at the time of the shooting, the usual gaggle of left-wing groups from around the country demanded Wilson be arrested. When that did not in fact happen, Brown’s family issued the call for riots, which resulted in local businesses in Ferguson being burned to the ground, many of them owned by blacks.
As previously stated, the Obama-era Department of Justice looked into the death and ruled that there was absolutely no basis to charge Officer Wilson under federal civil rights law. Moreover, the investigation determined that Brown had attacked Wilson in his patrol cruiser by reaching in and attempting to seize Wilson’s gun.
During the ensuing struggle, part of Brown’s thumb was shot off. Brown fled on foot, however turned around as Wilson pursued him. At this time, Wilson shot Brown as he (Brown) was charging at him, killing him. As the Washington Examiner said, the Department of Justice said Wilson acted in self-defense.
The Department of Justice report said, in part:
“The autopsy results confirm that Wilson did not shoot Brown in the back as he was running away because there were no entrance wounds to Brown’s back—several witnesses stated that Brown appeared to pose a physical threat to Wilson as he moved toward Wilson.”
In other words, “hands up, don’t shoot” was a blatant lie.
Biden’s tweet said: “It’s been six years since Michael Brown’s life was taken in Ferguson—reigniting a movement,” Biden said. “We must continue the work of tackling systemic racism and reforming policing.”
Biden is clearly trying to inflame emotions by issuing such a tweet on the sixth anniversary of Brown’s death. Why, when there was zero evidence of racial bias in the Department of Justice investigation into the shooting of Brown would Biden tie it into “systemic racism and reforming policing?”

The myth of “systemic racism” has been debunked ad-nauseum both by Law Enforcement Today and by other independent sources. It simply does not exist, yet Democrats continue to push the narrative.
Biden is not the only one. Other Democrats, including former presidential candidates Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) have also tried to spread the false narrative.
For example, last year, Warren made the claim that Brown had been murdered, despite substantial evidence to the contrary, as well as the DOJ inquiry.
5 years ago Michael Brown was murdered by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. Michael was unarmed yet he was shot 6 times. I stand with activists and organizers who continue the fight for justice for Michael. We must confront systemic racism and police violence head on.

Harris, who is under consideration by Biden to be his running mate, has made similar false claims.
“Michael Brown’s murder forever changed Ferguson and America,” Harris tweeted last year. “His tragic death sparked a desperately needed conversation and a nationwide movement. We must fight for stronger accountability and racial equity in our justice system.”

So why would Biden’s campaign (and honestly, who believes that Biden actually sends his own tweets) send out a clearly false tweet?
Biden (and the Democrats) have clearly thrown down with the violent protesters. They continue to inflame the anti-police mob by inflammatory rhetoric. If you want to see how much the Democrats are completely fine with the violence destroying American cities, look no further than a Senate hearing last week to discuss Antifa.
In fact, one Democrat was so incensed by the suggestion that she walked out of the hearing.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) condemned Democrats for not speaking out against the domestic terrorist group, likely because Antifa represents part of the Democrat constituency, with many of them being undying supporters of socialist Bernie Sanders.
Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI), one of the more radical among United States Senators accused Cruz of not listening during the over three-hour hearing.
“Sometimes I don’t think you listen,” Hirono said at the Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing. “So how many times have I had to say that we all should be denouncing violent extremists of every stripe,” Hirono complained.
“Does that include Antifa?” said Cruz, who was chairing the hearing.
“I have the time,” Hirono screamed. “…I hope this is the end of this hearing, Mr. Chairman, and that we don’t have to listen to any more of your rhetorical speeches. Thank you very much. I’m leaving.”
Hirono then took her pail and her shovel and left the hearing.
“Well, I appreciate the, as always, kind uplifting words of Senator Hirono,” Cruz said.
“And I would also note that throughout her remarks she still did not say a negative word about Antifa nor has any Democrat here.”
Cruz once again invited Hirono to denounce Antifa, “You’re welcome to say something about Antifa right now,” Cruz said to Hirono as she marched out of the hearing.
“I think that I have covered the subject quite well,” Hirono said in quiet, nearly inaudible remarks.
‘Okay, she declined to speak, so that is the position of the Democratic Party,” Cruz remarked.
The scene and Hirono’s meltdown was not lost on law professor Jonathan Turley, who had testified at the hearing.
“The hearing ended with Sen. Hirono walking out after confrontation with Sen. Cruz over Antifa,” Turley tweeted. “In roughly 50 hearings, this was a first for me. I was not sure if I should turn off the lights when I left,” he concluded.

Hirono during the hearing downplayed, if not downright ignored the violent protests occurring in cities such as Portland, instead showing a video of what she claimed was “violence against ‘peaceful protesters,’” which of course is a fantasy concocted by anarchist supporting Democrats.
This is what we have come to expect from Democrats, supporting violent terrorists and as Biden did, furthering the false narrative of systemic racism by police.
