LOS AGNELES – In a morbid disclosure, an autopsy report shows that a model was scalped, had portions of her face torn off and had been drained of all her blood.
Los Angeles police say she was tortured and killed by her graphic-novelist boyfriend Blake Leibel, 36, (pictured left) reported Fox News.
Iana Kasian, 30, (right) was found dead in a West Hollywood apartment in May 2016.
The 30-year-old suffered blunt force trauma to the head, and her skull was exposed after significant portions of her scalp were either cut or ripped away, according to the autopsy reported.
Leibel, who was arrested at the scene of the crime, was released on bail for an alleged rape just one week before Kasian’s murder.
Kasian, a Ukrainian immigrant, was not the alleged rape victim. Yet she moved out of their home, only to return to the apartment to talk to Leibel, according to the National Post.
When she didn’t emerge, her mother called the police.

Leibel, the son of wealthy Canadian real estate tycoon and Olympic sailor Lorne Leibel, has been charged with her murder and could face the death penalty if convicted. He has pleaded not guilty.
The report says one of his novels has drawn unsettling parallels to the murder case. The book, “Syndrome,” starts with flashbacks of a serial killer slashing throats and draining blood, the New York Daily News reported.
Detectives found Kasian lying next to her 2-month-old baby who was not hurt.
The autopsy report revealing the grisly details was released Wednesday, KABC-TV reported. Moreover, the report shows there was an injury to Kasian’s jaw that appeared to be human bite marks.
Leibel also worked as a writer and director, according to multiple reports.
The Toronto trust-funder remains in custody at the Los Angeles County Jail. According to the Toronto Sun, Leibel moved to Southern California in 2004. He ran with other “trust funders” and like him, they enjoyed “Papa Pay” to the tune of $18,000 a month and was given a Beverly Hills mansion for good measure.
