In Memoriam – Officer Edward Wehe

Chief Samuel Ziviello of the Delaware County Pennsylvania Courthouse and Park Police has reported that Officer Edward Wehe, 57, died as a result of a massive heart attack.

Officer Wehe was called to assist in dispersing a large group of protesters at the Delaware County Prison.  The protesters did not have the proper permits.  This assignment took over 4 hours to complete.

Shortly after he cleared his call, he went with his daughter at a local restaurant.  While he was talking to her he suddenly collapsed.  His daughter immediately started CPR.  Additional medical assistance came via 911.

Officer Wehe was transported to Riddle Memorial Hospital where he passed away.

Officer Wehe was an 18 year veteran of the Courthouse and Park Police Department.  He also served part time at the Marcus Hook Pennsylvania Police Department.  Officer Wehe was Navy veteran.  He is survived by his daughter, granddaughter, fiancée, and a brother.
