Following the preliminary investigation and statements made by Chisem’s 14 year old son, who has not been identified, has been arrested and charged with Chisem’s murder. Preliminary reports indicated that Special Agent Chisem suffered a single gunshot wound to the upper body. Some reports more specifically indicate he was shot in the head, however those details have not been confirmed.
Very little information and specific details are being released, however initial public statements confirm that the shot was fired through a window from the back yard of the residence into the family room where Chisem was watching television. The weapon, was Chisem’s duty issued .40 caliber pistol that was recovered from the front yard of the residence.
A close friend of Chisem’s, who asked not to be identified, stated that he has known Chisem since his service in the U.S. Navy. He stated that Chisem had a good father-son relationship and that he had never observed any tension between them for any reason. He is totally shocked and blown away by the situation and circumstances.
